Inner City includes South, North and West Hobart as well as Battery Point, Glebe and Dynnyrne. These areas are popular for restaurants and easy access to the Port area, in particular Constitution dock which is the finish point for the Sydney - Hobart yacht race.
Lower River Suburbs have magnificent river views from where you can watch the yachts come in, as well as the occasional whale! Suburbs include, Sandy Bay, Blackmans Bay, Kingston and the hillside suburbs of Mt Nelson and Tolmans Hill.
Northern Suburbs along the river are generally older established suburbs with some industrial areas, including Tasmania's famous Cadbury chocolate factory at Claremont. A pleasant bicycle track makes for easy access to the city. Suburbs include: Moonah, Glenorchy, Rosetta, Berriedale, New Town, Lenah Valley and Granton.
Eastern Shore riverside suburbs have views of the harbour from most areas. A leisurely ferry commute will get you to Hobart in 15-20 minutes and you'll have no parking problems. Bellerive Oval is home to International cricket matches and there are at least two yacht clubs in the district. Suburbs include: Lindisfarne, Rosny, Montagu Bay, Geilston Bay, Bellerive, Howrah, Tranmere, Acton and Lauderdale.
