BRISBANE
PLACES TO LIVE
Inner West is one of the most vibrant areas of Brisbane, close to the university in St Lucia. Popular suburbs around the area include West End, Paddington and Highgate Hill.
Inner North Brisbane includes premium suburbs set high on the hills, overlooking the river and New Farm on the riverfront. Fortitude Valley is a more urbane, multicultural part of the city.
North of Brisbane are the coastal suburbs with many new housing estates. Suburbs such as Bridgeman Downs, Albany Creek and McDowall are set on acreage and these areas are popular with horse owners.
West of Brisbane, about an hour's drive from the city, are rain-forested mountains with many lovely riverside homes at Chelmer, Indooroopilly, Toowong and Milton. This area meets the fringes of Brisbane Forest Park.
East Brisbane extends from the city where there are numerous rental opportunities with both established and new developments.
South Brisbane residential properties vary considerably, ranging from older weatherboard dwellings to expansive penthouse apartments.
