CANBERRA TRANSPORT

Action Bus Services are Canberra's main form of public transport, being able to take you almost anywhere. Canberra also has an excellent bike path network which gives you the chance to appreciate what a beautiful city we live in, as well as helping you get where you need to go. As an added bonus, you won't have to ride on the road with the crazy Canberra drivers!  

Long distance buses as well as trains provide transport to the major regional centres around Canberra.

Taxis can be hailed from the street, or engaged at ranks in and around the city. Tipping is not customary.

Driving is the most common form of transport in Canberra and the suburbs are easily accessed by major roads and freeways. It usually convenient to park anywhere in Canberra, although you will often have to pay for parking in popular shopping precincts.
